Whether you are a staunch supporter of marijuana, a passionate opponent, or somewhere in the vast in between, one thing is for sure: there is no issue hotter than hemp. Over the summer Canadians have taken to Conservative MP officers to protest Marc Emery's extradition and recent Conservative crackdown on marijuana. With a possible fall election being threatened, it is a critical time to show our commitment to this issue with several high profile rallies, and continued work within the NDP.
Marc Emery is being sentenced September 10, 2010 with world wide rallies on September 18. We must raise awareness about the injustice of Marc Emery's imprisonment and continue to pressure Canadian Public Safety Minister Vic Toews to approve Marc Emery's treaty transfer to return to Canada. There are many ways to participate in the Free Marc Rally, from a protest to banner and sign drops over busy intersections. Below are some links to help you get started.
