Sacrifice
There's a way towards freedom, many soldiers did fall,
fighting proudly for our country, they answered the call.
It was a battle they fought and a battle they won,
despite all their suffering, they looked towards the sun.
In Flanders Fields, where the graves still lay,
it's because of their courage, we're free today.
They're our heroes, we'll never forget,
how they sacrificed their lives for those never met.
The symbol of Peace is the white breasted dove,
it represents the soldiers and the world they loved.
As we get older, we'll come to understand,
how these soldiers went to war, fighting for our land.
When I think about how long ago, the soldiers came and died,
I think about their families and how much they cried.
My heart fills with sorrow, when their spirits start to soar,
and the piercing sounds of battle cries, when I think of war.
So now on the eleventh day of the eleventh month and hour,
we remember the soldiers who brought back power.
Just don't forget their souls or they will never rest,
and remember the sacrifice and the point of their quest.
