Czuje sie

wspaniale. Pelen energii, kreatywny, o czystm umysle. Silny fizycznie. Powrocilem do swoich gadgetow (Wellness Belt + Wellnes Bracelet) + cwiczen (Royal Stretch). Tez do swojego menu pierwszy raz po glodowce wlaczylem ziemniaki (smazone na szmalcu).

Przeczytalem od deski do deski magazyn darmowy "Now". Jest to lewicowy tygodnik. Progresywny, lub w nomenklaturze bylego burmistrza miasta Toronto, szlachcica pana Boba Forda "pinkusiowy". Czyli w rozumieniu polnocno-amerykanskich czytelnikow - "commies soft".

Przed poniedzialkowymi wyborami do rzadu federalnego ostry atak na konserwatystow. Kilka cytatow nawet zamierzam opublikowac na swoim blogu. "Now" jest rozdawany za darmo w Toronto. W nakladzie 386,000 tygodniowo. Founding partner NXNE 7 nxne.com. Adresowany glownie do mlodziezy. Duzo muzyki, kluby, teatry, koncerty, filmy. Informuje o wszystkim co sie dzieje w Toronto. Dlatego popularny i rozschwytywany. Uwaza sie, ze czyta go tygodniowo 500,000 Torontonczykow. Podawany z reki do reki. Jest to dosc wysoki naklad i Torontonczycy, glownie w centrum miasta go czytaja. Nic dziwnego, ze rzadza nami rozne odmiany "progresywnych".

Przykladem jest udawana walka pomiedzy dwoma pinkusiami Adam Vaughan (Liberal) + Olivia Chow (NDP) w obwodzie wyborczym Spadina-Fort York. Pinkusie niesamowite, bardziej chytry bo zmienia barwy w zaleznosci od pory roku to Vaughan. Czerwony o barwach marksistowsko-leninowskich. Wslawil sie w zwalczaniu pana Boba Forda, gdy byl radnym w Toronto. Szczwany lisek czerwonokitek. Ale nie ma znaczenia kto wygra. Pinkus tam rzadzi i bedzie rzadzil. Osobiscie wolalbym aby wygrala Chow. Bo ten lisek w wilczowatej skorce niczego dobrego nie wrozy.

"When the electorate is ignorant, the tyrannous are empowered" - GEORGE ELLIOTT CLARKE.

Canadian governments are not simply elected. They are decided by whatever a majority of elected members of Parliament (or provincial legislature) choose to support as a government.
Even if Stephen Harper has the most seats on October 20 (perish the thought), a union of Liberal and NDP MPs could unseat him if they constitute the numerical majority.
One trust that the Harper-appointed governor general, David Johnston, will respect this possibility (George Elliott Clarke, "Political Science 101", NOW, October 15-21 2015).

Trudeau's top-notch election performance and his fearless willingness to take such important progressive stands as deficit spending to support infrastructure investment and taxing the richest 1 per cent to help the middle class - not to mention legalizing marijuana - have earned him big props from a hungry electorate looking for a centrist leader who still offers real change (Alice Klein, "If we want anyone but Harper, we need to act together. Those who still think about politics in absolute terms have not only forgotten the basic law of the universe - relativity - but every lesson of history in our lifetimes", NOW, October 15-21 2015).

The Liberals have broken progressive hearts for generations in this country, campaigning left, governing right. Remember the promise to repeal the GST? Kathleen Wynne's provincial Liberals campaigned left, and now they are planning to sell off 65 per cent of Ontario Hydro, hardly a progressive move and one she never mentioned on the campaign trail. Why would it be any different with the federal Liberals?...
Trudeau has routinely voted with Harper, including on the reprehensible Bill C-51, and now says that, somehow, he didn't mean it. Will he not mean it when, if elected, we try to hold him to his Willy Wonks goodie bag of promises? His commitment to civil liberties is so soft, Trudeau enthusiastically put former Toronto police chief and architect of this city's G20 fiasco, Bill Blair, forward as a candidate.
When Conrad Black announces to Bay Street, as he did in the National Post recently, that they have to need to fear Justin Trudeau, progressives should be worried. When NDPers get elected, big money buys full-page scare ads in newspapers and threatens to move head offices. Trudeau? No so much. Because Black, like his Bay Street buddies, knows that when all the passionate election talk fades away, the Liberals will fall in line just fine (Michael Hollett, "No doubting Thomas. Fear of Harper sends us yet against to vote not for what we are for, but to save us from what we are against" NOW, October 15-21 2015).

Adam Vaughan can be an asshole. That's his talent and his shtick, his appeal and his weakness. But whether at City Hall, on Parliament Hill or in a possible future Liberal government, he's sure to be your asshole on the inside, agitating for housing and transit and the needs of vulnerable populations (Jonathan Goldsbie, "Lost in Spadina-Fort York. In a downtown riding that symbolizes the NDP-Liberal divide, Adam Vaughan and Olivia Chow are like fighting parents forcing us to choose sides", NOW, October 15-21 2015).

Liberal
Parkdale-High Park

Dear Neighbour,

On October 19th, you will have a choice. A choice between the status quo or change, between the politics of fear or the idea that we can do better.

I would urge you to take a few moments to read this letter - and on October 19th vote for real change.

My family came to this country as refugees on August 4th, 1972, while fleeing Uganda from the dictator Idi Amin. Our first port of call during a cold October was the Peel Street YMCA in Montreal. From the moment that we arrived here, Canadians welcomed my parents, sister and I with open arms. We received our first warm meal and got ready for our new lives in Canada, including our first set of clothes for the cold Canadian winters.

Like most newcomers, there were times when we struggled, but my parents always instilled strong values in us: honesty, hard work, determination and most importantly of all - education.

Through my education at McGill, U. of T. law shool and a 14-year legal career, I learned the importance of social justice and I've been steadfast in my commitment to human rights and access to justice ever since.

This has led me to be an advocate for our community and for Toronto. I was one of the founders of a legal aid clinic in Toronto for low-income residents, I have been a UN war crimes prosecutor on the Rwandan Genocide Tribunal. I'm also a volunteer and supporter of the Parkdale Food Bank, the Redwood women's shelter and the My St. Joe's Foundation.

I live in Roncesvalles with my wife, Suchita, raising our two young boys, Zakir and Nitin. It is because of them and the future they could have that I decided to run for office.

I'm running to by your Member of Parliament because our community and our country needs change. We need a strong, progressive voice in Ottawa that will represent our unique and diverse community of Parkdale-High Park.

The Conservatives have damaged Canada's image as a leader on the world stage and attempted to divide Canadians by using wedge issues to drive us apart.

During this election, women who chose to express their religious beliefs have been targeted by Harper and his party. Harper is appealing to the worst instincts in us to attempt to convince Canadians he is the right choice to lead us.

I think our leaders can do better.

I'm proud to stand alongside Justin Trudeau and provide a real alternative for Canadians. I'm also very proud to be running in Parkdale-High Park as a Liberal with the progressive plan we have presented.

We will help middle class families, cutting their taxes by asking the wealthiest 1% amongst us to pay a little more. We will make the largest investments in Canadian history in transit, housing and childcare to end the chronic underfunding of these important parts of our society. We will step up and take action on climate change, un-muzzle scientists and change how our governments are elected by ending our first-past-the-post system. We will reverse Harper's cuts to Canadian institutions - investing in the CBC and saving door-to-door Canada Post delivery.

Our plan is the progressive choice - one that will work to reverse the cuts and attacks made by Harper and bring back the Canada we recognize.

Attack ads and fear tactics do not reflect Canadian values. I truly believe that diversity and inclusion makes us stronger as a community, as a province and as a country. I will stand up for those values, as will Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Team.

With a close race between the Conservatives and the Liberals, the choice between what kind of Canada you wake up to on October 20th is yours to make.

We are long overdue in the country. On October 19th, I ask you to stand with me, and vote for real change.
