mi bylo w nocy. Okna pozamykane + pod 3 przykryciami i dalej marzlem. Wczoraj przed zamknieciem trumny pozegnalem sie z zimna Isabel. Dotknalem raczek. Pocalowalem czola i zrobilem znak krzyza na nim. Pozniej potarlem moj nosek o jej nosek wymawiajac "noski, noski". Byl to nasz codzienny rytual, gdy odprowadzala mnie do drzwi. Gdy wychodzilem do pracy.

Jeszcze w szpitalu powiedziala mi, ze dobrze, ze odchodzi z tego padolu. Nie bedzie juz musiala doswiadczac kanadyjskiej zimy. Bardzo jej nie lubiala. Wychowana w pieknym klimacie Afryki Poludniowej nigdy nie przyjela Syberii kanadyjskiej. Dostawala zimowej chandry. Bala sie wychodzic na ulice. W zeszla zime posliznela sie i upadla 3 razy.

Dzis chce odpoczac. Moze pojde na Polski Festiwal na Roncezwolce (www.polishfestival.ca). Takze do kina Revenue Cinema (www.revuecinema.ca) aby obejrzec film "Katyn". Rysiek mowi, ze po pracy moze wpadnie do mnie.

POLISH FESTIVAL
Polish culture celebrated on Roncesvalles

More than 175,000 people are expected to descend upon Roncesvalles Village for its annual polish festival, Sept. 19 and 20. In its fifth year, the Roncesvalles Polish Festival brings a unique old world charm to the area, well known as one of the city's most vibrant, diverse and creative neighbourhoods. Come experience Roncesvalles' rich Polish heritage, the art, music, culture, restaurants and trendy shops.
This destination event for families is free. Every year, the festival grows bigger and better. This year, organizers expect to shatter previous attendance records. Last year's threat of soggy weather did not deter festival-goers. Instead, they brought umbrellas and danced in the street as it rained.
Music is paramount to the festival's success. The Polish Festival boasts genres to satisfy everybody's taste no matter how diverse. There will be traditional Polka and performances from local musicians, but also Grammy winning artists, one who will perform an eclectic mix of polka beats and New Orleans-inspired blues. Listen to the music while enjoying a plate of perogies, a Polish sausage and a cool Tyskie in one of three beverage gardens or sample the offerings from Roncesvalles Village's many restaurants. There's a taste for every palate.
Performances will take place every 90 minutes on the Polish Credit Union stage. Buskers will entertain up and down the street. New this year is Kino Kultura, a celebration of Polish cinema and video art at the Revue Cinema. For more information, visit http://www.polishfestival.ca/.
Roncesvalles Avenue is under construction, but the Festival will go ahead as planned. Contractors will clean up their work, fill in the holes, and get everything off the street for festival weekend, so the street will have a very walkable and danceable street for the Roncesvalles Polish Festival.
From 6 a.m. Saturday Sept. 19 until Sunday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m., Roncesvalles Avenue will be closed to traffic from Boustead Avenue to Grafton Avenue. All connecting side streets will have no access to Roncesvalles during this time, and will be temporarily two-way (THE VILLAGER, Friday, September 4, 2009).
