Lobsters are more closely related to insects than they are to fish in the grand scheme of things. They are classified in the phylum Arthopodia - the same as spiders, scorpions and cockroaches. Their class is Crustacea and their order: Decapodia, meaning "ten-legged." Their main diet is garbage - dead fish and other rotting things they find on the sea bed. While being held in captivity they are also not above eating each other, if they can.
